Jonathan Brown had early aspirations to become an illustrator, hoping to draw for a living like his hero Charles Schulz. While studying illustration and design in college, he drew political cartoons for the campus newspaper, and discovered an avenue to pursue his dream. For the next twenty years, he drew for weekly and daily newspapers in Utah, winning several awards for his cartoons.
